Slurry Properties of Water-Soluble Polyester Sizing

In order to explore the properties of water-soluble polyester slurry, dimethyl terephthalate, 1,2-propanediol, diethylene glycol and dimethyl isophthalate-5-sodium sulfonate were used as polymerization Monomers, through transesterification. Condensation polymerization method, synthesis and preparation of water-soluble polyester slurry, and the solution properties were analyzed. The results show that the water-soluble polyester slurry has excellent thermal viscosity stability, and has a relatively low Appearance viscosity, suitable hygroscopicity, good water solubility and film-forming properties; water-soluble polyester sizing solution is a non-Newtonian fluid, the temperature increases, the pseudoplastic behavior of the sizing decreases, and the viscosity stability increases, which is beneficial to the sizing of the sizing on the yarn. Penetration and uniform sizing; the surface tension of the water-soluble polyester sizing solution is 55 dyne/cm, which is more suitable for the sizing of hydrophilic fiber yarns with larger surface tension.
