Polyester fiber, commonly known as "polyester". It is a synthetic fiber obtained by spinning polyester obtained by polycondensation of organic dibasic acid and dihydric alcohol, referred to as PET fiber, which belongs to polymer compounds. The raw materials for synthesizing polyester are polyethylene terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol, which are mainly obtained from petroleum cracking, and can also be obtained from coal and natural gas.
Polyester fiber has a series of excellent properties, such as high breaking strength and elastic modulus, moderate resilience, excellent heat setting effect, good heat resistance and light resistance. Polyester fibers have a melting point of around 255°C and a glass transition temperature of around 70°C, are dimensionally stable under a wide range of end-use conditions, and the fabric is washable and wearable.
In addition, it also has excellent resistance and good corrosion resistance, and is stable to weak acids and alkalis, so it has a wide range of consumer and industrial uses.
The advantages of polyester fiber:
Polyester fiber has high strength and elastic recovery ability, so it is durable, wrinkle-resistant and iron-free. It has good light fastness, and its light fastness is better than that of natural fiber fabrics, especially behind glass. In addition, polyester fabrics have good resistance to various chemicals, and are not damaged by acids and alkalis. At the same time, they are not afraid of mold or insects.
